- Do you pick up at any hotel in La Fortuna?
- Yes. Any hotel, lodge, hot-springs resort, Airbnb or private address in La Fortuna and the Arenal area, including the volcano road, Lake Arenal and El Castillo. Add the name of the property when you book and the driver comes to the door.
- Which airport should I fly into for La Fortuna, SJO or LIR?
- San José (SJO) has the most flights and the most direct road to Arenal, so it is the usual choice. Liberia (LIR) is a good option when your trip continues to Guanacaste beaches afterwards. The live drive time and price for both are in the tables on this page.
- How early can a shuttle leave La Fortuna for a morning flight?
- At any hour. Because the van is based in La Fortuna, a 3 or 4 am departure leaves on time with no night surcharge. For SJO flights we recommend leaving La Fortuna at least 3 hours before you need to be at the airport, plus the airline check-in time.
- Is the price per person or per vehicle?
- Per vehicle. One price covers the whole group within its tier (1–5, 6–9 or 10–12 passengers), taxes, fuel, tolls, WiFi, water and child seats included. Groups of 13 or more are quoted on WhatsApp (+506-8596-2438).
- Can we stop on the way, for lunch, Río Celeste or a photo of the volcano?
- Short stops to stretch, use a bathroom or take a photo are included on every transfer. A longer stop, such as lunch or a waterfall visit on the way to Guanacaste, can be added when you book or arranged on WhatsApp; the driver waits for you.
- How do I get from La Fortuna to Monteverde?
- By road around Lake Arenal, door to door, with no boat or vehicle change and no luggage transfer. The drive time and price are in the departures table above; the route page has the full details and the booking form.
