Your journey from volcano to beach
Your journey begins in La Fortuna, nestled at the base of the mighty Arenal Volcano. As your driver heads out, you'll enjoy a last look at Arenal's perfect cone before the landscape begins to shift.
Depending on your preference and whether you've added the Explorer Upgrade, your driver will take one of two routes: the classic road along Lake Arenal and through the Cañas lowlands, or the scenic path through Bijagua and the Río Celeste region — one of Costa Rica's most breathtaking natural wonders.
As you cross into Guanacaste, the lush rainforest gives way to dry tropical forest and open plains. The temperature rises, the Pacific coast approaches, and before you know it — you've arrived in Tamarindo, Costa Rica's vibrant surf town on the Gold Coast.
